He calls himself a ‘pseudo-engineer’ who took to the rat race only to take a leap of faith, later, and began teaching a class of sixty two students in a school, which opened him up to the startling realities of primary education in low income communities. During the two years that he spent teaching, he was appalled to see the discommodious culture in classrooms. This prompted him to turn to sports to level things. ‘Just for Kicks’, through which he strives to improve the learning culture in schools and make sports an integral part of a kid’s education taking football as a medium, is his passion now.

Why have our temples of education come to devalue sports? Why do we have one ‘Sports’ period and 7 ‘Academic’ periods? Why do teachers give homework in Math but not in sports?

Join Mr. Vikas Plakkot, a Global Youth Ambassador of the United Nations, a sports enthusiast and whose ‘Just for Kicks’ is impacting more than 1300 children and changing the way schools look at sports education, as he attempts to answers these questions through a story – a story that will revive sports in schools.
