A simple housewife and an excellent chef, educated in versatile fields (chemistry, biology and economics), she started giving tuitions in Sanskrit, Marathi and Hindi a few years back, for the love of the languages. After conquering tuberculosis, she did not expect a bigger disease to touch her. However, a little pain and uneasiness in her chest resulted in the prognosis of Breast Cancer, and her life was turned upside down.

How harsh is the reality of being diagnosed of having ‘the deadly disease’, especially in a society where it is seen synonymous to impending death? How do ‘seemingly unimportant’ events like losing hair during chemotherapy impact your life? How does a middle class family overcome the financial and emotional burden of the treatment?

See Mrs. Pranjali Pande, a fifty year old woman who has completed her Diploma in Sanskrit as a topper and is pursuing M.A. in the subject post recovery and dreams big now ‘because of Cancer’, paint her heartwarming and inspirational story before you, that, she believes, has aided in her growth instead of hindering it. Because when the going gets tough, the tough gets going.
